Hi, I am Emelia!
I’m a Wellbeing Facilitator, trained Social Worker, and Mentor with a passion for helping people reconnect with joy, rest, resilience, and human connection.
My work combines laughter, guided breathing, nervous system support, creative and reflective wellbeing practices to create safe, welcoming spaces where people can release stress, reconnect with themselves, and experience more lightness — even in the midst of real-life challenges.
I work with families, teams, and communities through parent & baby sessions, workplace wellbeing workshops, laughter sessions, and Thrive Well experiences designed to support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and connection.
I am also a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher, trained through Laughter Yoga International, and use laughter-based wellbeing approaches in an accessible and inclusive way that is welcoming to people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
My approach is also personally shaped by my Christian faith and values of joy, compassion, rest, and caring for the whole person.
My Work
My work is rooted in creating safe, welcoming spaces where people can release stress, reconnect with themselves, and experience more lightness — even in the midst of real-life challenges.
I offer parent & baby sessions, laughter yoga, workplace wellbeing workshops, and my Thrive Well Sessions — a deeper space for reset, reflection, and reconnection.
Across all of these, my intention is the same:
help people feel more grounded and connected.
Not by fixing or forcing change — but creating space where change feels possible.
My Philosophy
My philosophy is simple:
You don’t have to feel joyful to begin — laughter helps you get there.
And just as importantly:
Even in difficult seasons, there are still moments of light — and we can learn to notice them again.
Over time, I’ve seen that wellbeing is not only about lifting stress or tension. It’s also about strengthening what is already resilient within us — our capacity to adapt, to connect, and to find small moments of ease even in hard situations.
This is at the heart of my Thrive Well work.
Thrive Well
Thrive Well is my signature wellbeing experience.
In Thrive Well we combine laughter, guided breathing, nervous system regulation, creative expression and reflection and processing. The sessions are deeply strength and joy based.
Rather than focusing only on what feels heavy, we also gently explore:
- where lightness already exists, even in small ways
- moments of connection, humour, or relief
- the strengths you’ve used to get through difficult experiences
- what is still steady within you, even in uncertainty
This is not about bypassing difficulty. It’s about holding space for the full experience — while also noticing what is still possible, still present, and still hopeful within it.
Thrive Well supports you to:
- regulate your nervous system and reduce overwhelm
- slow down and reconnect physically and emotionally
- release stored tension and stress
- strengthen emotional resilience
- notice and amplify moments of ease, humour, and lightness
- feel more grounded, resourced, and steady
It is both gentle and powerful — a space for reset and reconnection.
My experience
My approach is shaped by many years of working with people across very different life contexts.
I have supported women in vulnerable situations, including those experiencing poverty, exploitation, and recovery from trafficking. I have managed a drop-in centre offering safety and stability in times of crisis.
I have worked with families navigating international transitions, supported children’s groups, and run community spaces for older adults. I’ve also worked across different countries and cultures, including in community development and camp settings.
What I’ve learned through all of this is simple:
People are incredibly resilient — even when they don’t feel like they are.
And often, what makes the biggest difference is not advice or fixing, but safe space, genuine connection, and being met with humanity.
This is what I bring into my work today.
I believe:
- Wellbeing is built through safety, connection, and regulation
- Strength-based work means seeing what is already working, not just what is hard
- Laughter and breath are powerful tools for nervous system support
- People don’t need to be “fixed” by me — they need space to reconnect with themselves and the resources already available to them.
- Even in difficult seasons, lightness is still possible
- We are created not only to survive difficult seasons, but also to experience joy, rest, connection, and moments of lightness within them.
I work with:
- Parents and babies in early bonding and adjustment
- Adults navigating stress, overwhelm, or emotional exhaustion
- Teams and workplaces wanting better connection and wellbeing
- Communities seeking resilience, support, and shared lightness
